Why screenshots are the awkward case

iOS is good at spotting a date in a text message and offering to add it. But the moment the information is a picture — a screenshot of an invite, a photo of a flyer, a forwarded image — that stops working. The text isn't text any more. So you read it off the screen and type it in.

What gets captured

• Start and end time — a 2:30–4:00 meeting saves as 90 minutes, not a guessed hour.
• Location — a room number or a street address, tappable for directions in Maps.
• Notes — dial-in numbers, PINs, what to bring, parking instructions.
• Repeating events — "every Tuesday" becomes a proper recurring event.

You approve everything

Nothing saves until you've seen it. Every event is listed with its date, time and location; you can fix a title, change a time, or uncheck anything you don't want. If the app isn't confident it read the whole page, it tells you on screen rather than quietly guessing. After saving there's a one-tap undo.
